OUR PROGRESS

Prototype of the Map
Then another member of the team created a prototype of the maps to test the current character and start adding some physics to the game.
Beta Main Character
Firstly, a beta character was chosen to allow us to create a prototype of the game. Then animations were created for their actions.

User Interface
At the same time, the User Interface was being made. This included Main Menu, the Death Screen and in-game UI.
Game Prototype
All this put together lead to the creation of the very first prototype of the game. This meant putting together the character, the map and the UI.

Final Maps
For the final maps, the biomes were chosen, so the creation of the maps that will be used in the game started.
NPCs
A NPC is a must for rogue-like game, therefore a NPC was created that will the character to get blessings to empower them.

Enemies
More enemies were implemented to combat repetitiveness. This also included adding animations for their actions and an Enemy AI was added to them. This AI allowed them to follow the player and attack them.
Bosses
Finally, a boss was implemented. Bosses will be harder to kill than other enemies and will be found at the end of each biome while the player tries to find the demon.

Network
Regarding multiplayer, we have started implementing it into the demo game using the Photon Unity Networking asset. We are able to connect multiple players to the same server and have a different camera for each player. We now have to work on synchronizing all the player actions and movements to make sure that players do not see different things in their games.
Actual Player
We then finished the implementation of a new version of the Faust character and this includes implementing special abilities such as a Dash.

New Biomes & Enemies
Finally, we have finished all the different biomes and the enemies.

Bosses
At the same time, the bosses were being created including their special abilities. On the right, you can see the final boss of the game.

At last, it was time to bring together everything we had created. The new player, all the enemies, the bosses, the maps, and finally the multiplayer.

As for the finishing touches, audio was added to the game to bring life to it.

Today, Faust is available for installation on this site.
